greetings fellow philatelic enthusiasts

Is it just me, with my limited finances, or does any one else have a hard time winning an auction on ebay. i just can't seem to win! must be just so many betting on so few. I think there's a lot of buying and reselling also. I have a lot better luck on stamp wants.
There are no US Official stamps or covers on this forum! How can that be?

Let's fix this right now. Please post your O's. Classics to Mods.
I have been trying to put together a nice looking set of used classic singles for many years,
one-at-a-time, without too much progress.
This is the only Aggie in my collection. (Dept. of Agriculture)
1990s Coca-Cola cover

I was going through Dad's Coke collection and came across some cover he was saving as a part of that collection.

It isn't old at all. Early 1990s. Only about a third of them are even stamped. The rest are metered. Which I don't find attractive. However the labeling on the envelopes is awesome to me. He has cover from several regional Coke bottlers. Also has CCE and CC USA cover. Some of the metered mail is canceled with Coke devices too. Just neat stuff.

Also, he has postally unused envelopes from different regional bottlers, as well as some from the same bottlers, but from different eras (timeframes), so the designs are different.

Are unused envelopes something that could be considered cover, or are we getting too far off topic by putting them in a collection of cover?

I'll post some pics of different designs as I can scan them.

This one is from Sardis Mississippi. This plant is now defunct. Something like a cancel from a defunct post office. No more envelopes of this design and address since the 90s.

The"good old days" honor system 5c per stamp offer

Ok, I have been thinking a lot about the "good old days" when trust and ethical behavior was the norm in the world rather than just some. I also have boxes of those "mish mash" glassines I bought at various stamp shows a decade or more ago and in all honesty will never find the time to sort and label.

So for posters with 100 or more postings, and have posted at least 10 times in the month of October will be eligible to receive a large envelope of stamps/glassines to look through. 5 cents per stamp you keep, and you return postpaid within 1 month, plus postage that was on envelope.

So you pay postage to and from, and 5 cents a stamp you keep. I do not intend to count them, I trust you. I will take up to 20 members to start with to see how the returns can be recycled. If your country allows free entry with out import/export difficulty, and you want to do this at the proper postage to/from your country, you can respond also.

Jim

Years ago I set myself an ambitious goal when I started my U.S. airmail collection. I assumed that I would hit the big lottery jackpot and would be able to afford anything I wanted. Didn't happen!

I am attempting to collect a mint and used single copy, a plateblock and a FDC for every issue. Obviously, I'll never get there but here is an example page (C-23).

P.S.
I just soaked this off this morning:

I was a girl scout for many years until finally as a Junior Girl Scout there were no more leaders.
