Last night before bed I placed a really low bid on these and never thought it would have "cut the mustard" but, I looked at my email this morning and said "Well I'll be darned I won them"! It did have a Buy it now price of $20.00+ but I got them all for $6.00+/-. I needed that!
Did I do OK?

The single..

Nice covers. I especially like that Andover, Ms. cancel (Ms. = Massachusetts) -- back then -- today, we'd think it was Mississippi!

More research would be needed on this, but I just web searched the addressee "Arthur H. Smythe, Columbus, Ohio" as it appears on your second cover and came up with a response that he may have had some involvement with one of the exhibits at the Columbian Exposition World's Fair. No guarantee it is the same person without further research, but it would be a nice addition to your cover if you could document the connection.

Here's the link where I found the initial information (check out first few sentences at top of page 554):

hmm looks like good possibility. I'll have to look at the census records for that area and time frame to see if it's a viable conclusion or not. That would add a great flair to my collection though! Thank you wt1.
