I got my QE II Jubilee un-cut press sheet today.

The Silver colour tube with a description label is a nice touch; but, encrusted in diamonds would be more appropriate.

I haven't opened it to see what number out of 2,500 it is.

I'm Waiting for a special occasion. Perhaps when I get a Knighthood.

BTW, I hear there's an internal Canada Post memo saying that the un-cut press sheets are going on sale to the general public without going through special order.

Could it be (at $80) they weren't the big and quick sellers CP thought they would be?

They're really good value for money because face value of the stamps comes to $80.....plus the fact they're a limited, numbered issue and signed by designer and engraver ensures their CV will be at least double purchase price.

I agree with other postings that the current picture of HRM is a bit harsh.....but, I would probably say the same of an engraving of me.

In fact, I went to the Canada Post Office in Ottawa today, and there were 3 tubes laying in the special box of othewr tubes, with no limit as to the number anyone can purchase. I picked one and left the others for fellow collectors...
