I was perusing eBay earlier today and came across what seemed like a pretty interesting lot of Scandinavian... the main "problem" with it was that it was made up of huge loose wads of stamps that had (at one time) been mounted on manila stock sheets... but now mostly were out and loose.
Although it "looked interesting" it made me ponder HOW the seller (someone with 10,000 feedbacks) was planning to pack such a lot so it would get to me in more or less decent condition. So I sent a VERY simple (I thought) question: "How are you going to pack this so the stamps will not be damaged in shipment to me, if I were to purchase this lot?"
I got a VERY prompt response (kudos for that, always!) that went: "Yes of course, you are right and some stamps might already be damaged, which is reflected by our very low price. Try it, you'll be happy!"
Is it just me, or was my actual question completely sidestepped? And no, seller does not live in a foreign country... unless you consider Florida "foreign."
