I collect DPO and Doane cancels for the few counties surrounding me here in Northwest Arkansas. There's a popular place-name up on the hill above West Fork called Hogeye. Unfortunately it never actually had a post office, so I created a classic Doane type 2 cancel for it so I could make my own! If the fact that Hogeye is not in the post office list is not enough proof that it's not real, the received mark from Bamboozle should be a cue. And then... you have to check the stamp! Yes it's a real US stamp, from the reprint... reperfed to be more like the originals.

It's all in good fun! I do realize that some people find such things offensive, but hey... the adrenaline rush you get as you realize the stamp is an invert is worth the let-down when you realize it's a fantasy. It would be worthwhile putting in a cover box and just put NOT FOR SALE on it.

Enjoy!
