If it's a Type II then it would be a number 7. Not in front of my reference material but I'll have a look tonight.

The stamp is most likely a Type II, Scott #7 or a Type IV, Scott #9. It could be a Type IIIa from Plate 1E but the color would not be very typical, the chances are extremely slim. There is zero chance the stamp is a Scott #5 or a Type III, Scott #8. A better scan (1200dpi) would be nice.
