From: http://www.popcrunch.com/the-simpsons-stamps/The Simpsons will be immortalized on stamps to be issued by the U.S. Postal Service later this year. The 44-cent first-class stamps, designed by Simpsons creator and executive producer Matt Groening, will feature Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie Simpson. Be on the lookout for a sneak peek of the stamps, which will be unveiled April 9. The stamps will also help celebrate the show becoming television's longest-running primetime comedy as it marks its 20th anniversary this year.

I will have to come up with a Springpatch Local Post issue for it and a cachet cover. Maybe my town of Springfield IL will be able to host the First Day Ceremony since we lost out on The Simpsons Movie opening day contest over a year ago. I started watching that show when it was on the Tracey Ulman show inbetween skits. |

There has been talk about the Simpson stamps since last year, but nothing had been confirmed by the USPS to an actual release date or how many stamps were going to be in the issue. Nothing is set in stone until I can purchase them at the post office, they've already pushed back a few issues this year. |

johnstamp, Cowabunga, much like "Eat my shorts, man", was also an advertising catch phrase for Bart on T shirts & stickers. I'm not sure if he actual used it on the TV show. |

I too thought, "Cowabunga" was a Turtles thing. I thought Bart was the "Aye Caramba"-guy But obviously you're right, google found several "Cowabunga" shirts with Bart on it |

Drudenfus, Aye Caramba was very popular as well. I was in my early teen years when The Simpsons started and I am a pop culture sponge- true to my Generation X status. |
