Recent APS Election

I confess -- I didn't vote in the recent APS election.

Even after looking at the candidate statements and biographies, I really didn't feel like I was informed enough to vote. And since this is my first year of membership in APS, I didn't know who to ask.

Anyway, apparently a lot of members shared my lack of knowledge/enthusiasm.

I see in the June 29 Linn's (just got it today) that fewer than 4,000 of 40,000 members actually voted.

I voted in the APS election. I've been a member of the APS for five years.

I voted because that is how democracy works... without participation, it will not work.

I'm very active in politics and I've never missed voting in an election, so I know you speak the truth. But with the APS thing, I just felt like an outsider? Oh well, we live and learn, I guess.

Technically, I am the outsider... I'm a Canadian member of the APS... but I have never felt unwelcome by the APS nor other members of the APS.
