Well, I did promise to put up some more India/Burma cancellations, and I will, but I got hung up on this stamp. I would like your opinion on this stamp dissection: Here is what I have so far. You will need a catalog for the overprints.

Found: in the BOB section of Burma in the Japanese Occupation section.

Fundamentals: Basic stamp appears to be Mint OG ,Burma #28 4Anna, slate blue ( it appears so in person). Perf checked and is 13 1/2 x 14 . Watermark checked and it is the 254 ( elephant heads). It is overprinted with the SERVICEwhich makes it an Official stamp # O21.

Now it gets interesting. It is also overprinted as a Japanese Occupation stamp. Which stamp do you think it is? A Henzada issue or a Myaungmya issue # 16 or #36. Large difference in price.

I tried on the second photo to alter the color so the overprint was more apparent. This is the fun I had today.
Jim
