I'm having trouble identifying this Franklin 1c, design A138, in the Scott US Specialized. Any help appreciated. Thanks for looking!

For one that stamp did not originate on that mailing card, it was added by someone for no apparent reason. It's also a perfin. Based on the date I'd say Scott 374.

By 1912, it is much more likely to be Scott #374, which differs in watermark from #331. It really doesn't matter which stamp it is ... as the value in the entire mail piece as postal history is considerably more than either stamp alone.

Your positioning of the stamp in the sheet of 400 based on the cut line is correct.

Stallzer, the stamp did originate. The OP asked about a very similar card several weeks ago in another thread. It was mailed as a bill, then remailed as a receipt.

Interesting. I missed the other thread. I saw the first cancel through the perfin holes and dismissed it at that point. I now see the 2nd cancel and how it ties to the card. You're good JB :)
