I got a new helper recently, he sits there for hrs watching and helping ID stamps. He prefers Scotts Catalogs as you can see.

Are you sure He's not just waiting for you to find some Mickey Mouse Topicals? Or possibly some Year of the Rat stamps.

I think it was V.S. Naipaul's Mystic Masseur who ordered his books by smell. From memory, his favourite was Harrap's School French-English Dictionary.

At least mine prefers the Great Outdoors, thank goodness ...

These are our two cats that are full of shenaniganitis.

Their idea of stamp collecting differs greatly from ours! They've had domestics on the high denoms table [we've had to resort them twice already], they're chasing each other across the sorting tables, they sunbake on top of my most prized stamps. We can cope with all this but when they put claw holes in our stamps they start to look like the main menu. Hungry KGV

I live in an apartment that does not alllow pets, with a roommate who is allergic to cats. It is unlikely I will have such a helper in the near future. I have grown up with them though. I must admit to never having had the temptation to consume them, however.

Mickey Mouse Topicals? Year of the Rat?

Good one, RevStampMan. My first reaction was the cat is about to lick the stamp so it can be "mounted" in an album. Or maybe that rough tongue could detect grills?

I am allergic to cats, so I have Rats....err I mean dogs. Rat Terriers to be exact. Here is a nice cover featuring them.
