This weekend I will be reorganizing my collection that has grown out of hand for me. I seem to have started to focus on one thing and then switched gears and done something else entirely.

I think that I will focus on the stamps on a topical POV rather than a little of this and a little of that. In your opinion, what is the most popular topical and then what is the least popular topical?

Donna

So, what would be the least popular in your opinion?

Toenail clippings and portable potties. Can't seem to find a topical stamp list for them anywhere, even though the actual items are everywhere.

Why don't you collect what you like not looking first if it's popular. For myself I collect Olympic stamps for about three years. I end up with a huge collection that I sold because I start buying Europa stamps that is a very interesting topical to me. I also have a tall ship collections that is nice too. I knew a man who collect lighthouse another one who collect plants. This last one has a huge collection with all the scientific names of each plant in latin I guess. There is almost no limits for topics you can collect just choose one you want to learn about. Happy stamping Donna. Daniel

When I was with the ATA they had lists of the most popular Topics. Religion and religious themes were always high on the list. So were sailing ships, ships in general, insects, reptiles and many others.

If I were you, I'd choose something that's close to your heart.

I love these guys. Are you listening to these guys? hehehe. Don't forget flowers/ bats / poisonous insects/...

botanicals. Think we've all said go for what you like. or...maybe, Collect what we're interested in then sell it to us?

I still want to know where to go to see visually what I remember / framed from my Grandfather's collection. Huge, larger than poster sized piece with botanicals / flower/ in one frame/ 8 or so plate blocks which, in my mind, must have dated from the early 40's or before. Yet, who / not I / has time to tell me what I'm remembering. Magnolia's come to mind. other flowers.

Can I re-create that? dunno?

Once I have seen a collection of bikes, it was marvelous. I'm not interested in collecting topical, but this was really breathtaking.
