Do you have any stamps that were released on your birthday? If so, post a pic here. Bonus points if the stamp is from the same year you were born. Double bonus points for a first day cover.

Looking forward to seeing what you got.

To start things off, June 25, 1941 (exactly 30 years before I was born), the USPS issued this carmine 6 cent air mail stamp, the first in the Transport Plane Series. Over 4,746,000 of these were printed, making it the second largest printing in the history of U.S. airmail stamps (and really common). citation.

Scott #C25, worth the minimum of 20 cents.

My catalogue, with issue dates, only goes to 1988, so the only stamps I can find with my birthday are from 1985 and 1986.
My birthday is 18th September.

1985

1986

Triggersmob, wow. That's quite a collection. I love those angel stamps - very pretty.

Laswabbie, sorry you couldn't find any. I know how you feel. I discovered through an online search that Germany released a stamp on my actual birthday (June 25, 1971), but alas it was not to be found anywhere in my collection. And it would have been particularly apt, as my dad is a mathematician too.

This photo is "ripped off" from the web. It's a pretty one, too...

t360, indeed it doesn't. Now that I discovered it, this is one stamp for which I will definitely be keeping a lookout.

I saw recently where a few members were reviving some old topics. Who else as a stamp that was issued on their birthday (month and day) or a cover postmarked on their birthday (month, day, & year)? I'm going to get out my catalog and see what I can find for myself.

Well I found these US issues for my date of birth: 622, 1040, 1044Ac, 1086, 1144, 1734, 2611-15, 4121, C63a, C87, U642, U643

I also looked up issues for my wife & sons birthdays and our wedding anniversary.

A couple of months ago while rooting through recent kiloware purchases, I found these "2 x 4s" with my birthdate. Interesting to note that the Los Angeles cancellation places the day before the month, something that I don't often see on US dates.
