I'm surprised no one started this yet, so here it goes... In commemoration of Thanksgiving, why not start a topical post for Thanksgiving-related stamps? I'll start it off with this one:

Happy Thanksgiving to anyone who is feeling thankful for anything, at all, today. (If you're not thankful for anything today, take a minute and think up something.) I had to borrow this Thanksgiving Day Parade scan because this is outside of my area. [see luckydog on bidstart if you're interested in purchasing the strip...no relation] |

Happy Thanksgivings to everyone. If you're not in the USA do you celebrate it and if so when? |

We must also on this day remember and honour all our servicemen and women and their families. we pray for all the people in distress all over the globe David

Happy Thanksgiving!
I like those first stamps, reminds me of my grandmother's quilts and a big thanksgiving meal (for a little fellow). |

Thanks for all the well wishing sentiments. Sometimes this stamp gets forgotten (because it was part of a souvenir sheet), but is also very appropriate for the occasion: |

wt1, that stamp is a Norman Rockwell moment and well and truly evokes the feast we have on Thanksgiving. I know that other countries celebrate the equivalent of the US Thanksgiving and wish all those a happy and peaceful day, whenever it was.
Saw a cartoon yesterday on the net which showed a flock of well-fed, plump turkeys confronting a scrawny turkey. The scrawny turkey says to the flock--And you thought I was nuts for going on The Biggest Loser. (For the non-US members here, The Biggest Loser is a reality TV show which takes a number of overweight people and turns the struggle to lose weight into a contest in which the biggest loser of weight wins)Yeah, I know it sounds dumb, but--- |

Worth repeating. Maybe some more turkey stamps? My mouth is watering from that Norman Rockwell stamp. |

A Se-Tenant Foursome On September 9, 2009, in New York, New York, the Postal Service™ issued a 44–cent, Thanksgiving Day Parade commemorative stamp in four designs, all designed by Howard E. Paine of Delaplane, Virginia. Happy Thanksgiving |
