There was a post a few days ago about Marijuana Tax Stamps. I ran across this a while ago:

Out of those two links listed one says only 160 can own a complete set and then the other says says only 500 so I am immediately suspicous as I am of any thing on the www. But you guys are the experts, what do we know of these stamps?

The first url is for the 1st issue and the second url is for the 2nd issue, so there could be 500 sets of the first and 160 sets of the second. Of course you would need both sets for completeness. It doesn't help that the $100 first issue has a serial of 1636, makes you wonder where the others are.The price is high,
but for the well heeled revenue collector, it would seem fair to have something that most would not have. You don't know how many more are in the postal museum's possession for later sale. I suspect they got all of the remainders that were not destroyed, so more may show up. I want them, but not at that price. Patience

Jim

Bandicoot, they are two different issues. From what I understand, they are very scarce and very few people collect them. Obviously, they are way out of my financial reach!
