Started in 1902 to celebrate the coronation of King Edward v11, it basically was a parade made up of floats of flowers, at the end of the parade at a certain time every float stops and those on the floats tear flowers off and throw them at the crowd of onlookers who in turn pick them up and throw them back. I was on the floats twice .

Interesting. One can't get hurt with flowers (unless they are roses with the thorns still attached!).
Thanks for info. You are the second Jerseyite relocated to Canada I know. Is there a trend going on?
