While I know this is not an Inauguration Year, the fact that January 20th typically represents the Inauguration Day of the President and Vice President of the United States, prompts me to start this thread.

Who has any Inauguration Day Covers, Cards and Postmarks, typically dated January 20th? Here's one to start off the topic, from 1965:

I have several dozen, and will offer my duplicates here, soon, when I get 51 posts. Remember that March 4 was Inauguration Day until 1933; even though the 20th Amendment was ratified in January 1933, it did not take effect until October 1933, meaning that President Roosevelt could not assume office until the prior date, March 4, nor could Congress.

In practical terms, this meant a 2-month delay in dealing with the effects of the Great Depression, at a time when immediate action was needed (January thru March, 1933).
