Koen, lately I've found some very nice covers right here on SCF for a very fair price as it pays to keep an eye on the Auction thread. I'm not sure if there is a posting minimum for someone to buy something but it's a good avenue for interesting material. |

I keep an eye on various auction sites and here on SCF. I gave up on "fee-bay" a long time ago. |

Either right here on S.C.F. or sometimes from the "Buck-a-Cover" website or just Google what you are interested in. I have been looking for Columbian Exposition covers, Pan-Pacific, and trans-Mississippi covers lately. Good luck friend! I'm not positive if I may post the buck-a-cover link or not but if you want it just PM me. -Jeff |

Thank you for the info. I can not send pm's yet. Need 50 posts to do so. But I think I found the site you are reffering to. But indeed, it is hard to find covers on ebay... |

Bed bath and beyong usually about $20 for queen size (sorry had to toss that in). The best bet for a good cover lot is auction- Generally the auction house will box up miscellaneous covers and small lots into a big floor lot and you can get an awesome deal for a huge assortment. Problem is many of the ones you see on ebay are from this type of source and it is getting harder to get any good deals. You may not be able to see all of what is in the box but it makes for a fun sorting and searching venture. |

Mostly at shows, then auctions. I have traded for some as well. Also, on occasion, I get covers at our local club meetings.
BTW - what part of Belgium are you from? My aunt was Belgian, and she died just four years ago from a 'hit and run' incident. She was buried with full honours from our Canadian Legion here because she was a member of the Belgian underground during WW II. She married my uncle who is Canadian and lived here in Canada for the last 30 or so of her years. She originally was from Ghent and lived in Brussels. Hope you don't mind me asking?
Also, I am interested in Belgian stamps and have a large collection of them.

I've had luck at estate auctions and there's a guy at my stamp club I've been stalking every month. He always shows up with a bunch to sell. Bought a couple on fee-bay ( I like that name. I usually go with flea-bay, but this says so much more!) but nothing spectacular. |

Koen, I contact relatives and friends when they are moving or cleaning out the home of a deceased relative. Quite often they'll let me take whatever I want in exchange for help with the packing and the move. A lot of it is stuff they would just throw away anyway.
Some people don't want to include the letters for privacy sake but I have gotten some interesting covers sent home to families during WWII, old bills, birthday cards, postcards, and sometimes just empty with interesting stamps or printing.
It's unpredictable what will be there but I've never gone away empty handed. Plus it does good things for the friendships!
