Nice find, Hennepin Illinois is upstream on the Illinois River a few hundred clicks from Peoria. Today they have around 600-700 people so I'd imagine there weren't too many people around those parts in 1884. The first places populated by the early settlers were always on Rivers and bodies of water. I'm sure the bottom lettering reads "Putnam co(unty)"
Its real cool because its been here for years I'm just now getting time to go through every box and bag.Kind of like christmas / birthday. I just wished I would have known then to look for stock pages!!
Thanks for the reply folks,I have been digging in boxes for three days trying to sort ,seperate admire, admire admire, then when my spine cant take any more I take a break and get up and do it again, kind of like some kind of weird therapy.
