Recently there have been some collectors, including myself, attempting to identify various perfins on US and Canadian stamps.

To help with identifying some of them, I thought I'd share this link where some of the more common ones are identified and hopefully it will be helpful information for perfin collectors:

Thanks for this useful link. And while we're at it, can anyone direct me to any online lists of Canadian post offices? Or do we have to chase down those esoteric and elusive books? I'd like to know more about rarity factors etc.

I couldn't find a listing of Canadian Post Offices, but here's the address where you can find info on a specific post master or post office. Sorry I don't know how to post it as a link.

Thanks wt1,

I'm still (slowly) putting together my perfin page for the US state revenue stamps (NY Stock Transfer). Several hundred of them but I'll get it online some day. I'll definitely post when it's available.

How true wt1

I have been in and out of that site you provided for a few years now and have found it to be very helpful.

It has helped me to indentify a lot of my foreign perfins.
