Do postage stamps help people with psychiatric problems by reducing the stigma in the community about mental illness?
I'm not sure how much weight to give this brief news article, but it does suggest there is a link, in that between 2002-2009, worldwide stamps with a medical theme numbered 596, with psychiatry the best represented specialty:
