This is what I created to help me identify the stamp design of this series. It is meant to reference a design to a year of issue only.

My Scott CDs (and my books) do not include that info in all of them and I do not like trying to remember which volume that it is on.

Free free to copy and use as needed.

Thanks a lot for sharing!
For many years I was too lazy to do something like you did.
In my catalog there are just a few handwritten notes describing the stamps.
This is much better, so I just copied.

Yes, thanks for sharing stampdays.

It gets to be a pain-in-the-neck when you have to keep referring to the front section of the catalogue every time you come across a stamp from a country that does not put a year on it.

The same could be done for all the British, Portuguese, French etc colonial issues with the omnibus issues.

Very helpful - thank you! I only recently experienced the frustration of trying to identify one of the German versions of these stamps, only to find no picture (in Scott catalogue) and the ambiguous description of "Europa stamp design of 19xx"

I think Europa designs are listed in the front of the catalogue under Common Design Types or some such.

Like Bob and Puzzler said above, the pictures are at the beginning of the catalog (Scott for me) and further on just referred to by CDxx (Common Design I suppose) numbers I believe.
