German Cover 1932.

German cover with 1932 postmark.Inside is a round stamp of an eagle with the word "Preuss Amtsgericht Gladenbach". Refering to the net there is much write up about the round stamp but does not state to whom or what it belongs to.Is this an emblem of a German state,council or post office?Anyone familiar with German postal could shed some light.Will be good if anyone could translate the letter,could take a stroll to past history of this letter.Thanks.

I believe "Preuss. Amtsgericht Gladenbach" refers to the Prussian District Court in Gladenbach.

Nigel is correct - it is a seal of the District Court in Gladenbach. The letter is from March 23, 32. The court asks Erika *inbauer (can't read the first letter)to send back documents in a guardianship case which contains an "acknowledgment of paternity" (don't know the correct legal term - which means that she accepted someone to be the father of her child). The document also states that this document was sent in error and that it is supposed to remain with the court. The signature is from "Justizobersekretär" Volkemer but it was in reality signed by Müller, who was probably his subordinate - his title being "Justizsekretär". Any translation of such titles would not make much sense, I suppose. Some kind of court secretary would be the closest - the "...obersekretär" refers to someone supposedly one rank above that.
