Russia cover posted on 28/09/08 arrived in Helsinki,Finland on 14/10/08.Could someone help to make out the place this cover was posted from.The postmark seem smudged except a few words and the date is visible.Any other info will be appreciated too.Thanks.
The cancellation is from Tsaritsin (Öàðèöûí) spelled with the sign of hardness at that time (Öàðèöûíú) - a town in Saratov province on the Volga. Later was known as Stalingrad, now it is Volgograd - center of the Volgograd region.
