A couple weeks ago, a co-worker and I somehow got on to the topic of Philately. He is not a collector, but had a few stamps from his time in Japan back in the 70s & 80s. I offered to catalogue the stamps for him.

I recently handed him back his stamps with catalogue numbers, values, and information about the subjects on the stamps.

One of the stamps, Scott #1177, depicted "Kaguya Hime and escorts flying back to the moon"

Apparently, my description was enough to spark an interest, because he now wants to complete the set.

The hook is now set. Now I just need to real him in.

Does anyone here have the remaining two stamps from the set and willing to part with them? (Scott 1175-1176)

Please PM me with price!

Thanks

Brian

I can't help you with the stamps, but it appears that your example confirms that "catch and release" isn't a useful approach when fishing for philatelists!
