I was putting some Hungarian stamps into the album, including this nice 1921-25 Scott 379 100k olive bister & yellow brown "Madonna and Child" SON specimen, when I was stunned to see the date.

July 19.

There is only a 1/365 chance that this should happen.

An omen?

What a nice cancel

Keszthely seems like a lovely lakeside town.

Thanks Bee See.

And you found the town.

It got me thinking how there is not necessarily any connection between a "valuable" stamp and a "lovely" stamp, with great aesthetic appeal. Here the CV is twenty cents.

Great cancel! I like those bridge-type cancels.

I was down the Eastern end of the lake (Lake Balaton) in Siofok (pronounced Sheo-folk) in 1995 on holiday. The peaceful end of things, not the big beach scene. I remember the swans in Siofok harbour and walking around (I love walking around and getting lost) and having a cappuccino in a very small tea cup at a small sidewalk cafe under big leafy trees (love trees).

(pic from eBay, can't find mine immediately).

That's just what people do when I ask them where am I?

They say, you are not lost, you are right here!

It's even better when you have learned the name of the street your hotel is on and then find out later they have just changed the name of the street recently. Wear good walking shoes!
