I was talking to a cover dealer today about covers from the 1933/34 Chicago Century of Progress and he mentioned items having to do with General Balbo and his flight to the fair...i told him I thought so of those items might be a bit pricey..later in a dollar box I found this cover from July 15 ..Chicago welcomes the Italian Air Fleet..i will have to check if July 15 was the day the fleet arrived..i know the cover is not perfect with a miscolored flap..but I consider it collectible !

Well I finally sat down to do the research on when Air Minister Italo Balbo landed his seaplane flight on Lake Michigan for the Chicago Century of Progress...and sure enough it was July 15 , the postmark on this cover...there are probably plenty of others floating around..but I am happy to have this one !!
