Philb: What stamp show was this? I totally missed the boat and didn't know there was a stanp show in Troy or I would have gone since it's only 40 minutes or so from the house. The German cover in your other related thread is really nice.

Nice! I jusr love the stamps from around World War II. I noticed that the stamp is placed upside-down on the envelope. I wonder if it was intentional or not?

Hello All, Battlestamps...it was like an endurance contest yesterday as we are not that familiar with the roads in the Albany,Troy area......per the postcard we received from the Capital District shows..the stamp show was supposed to be at the Best Western on Western Avenue...So we find the Best Western and they tell us the show has been moved to TROY ! The folks at Best Western were good enough to print out directions for us...13 miles to backside of Troy...just be warned..the show is going to be at the Elks Lodge in Troy for the remainder of the year...the show was better than average with dealers from New Jersey, Syracuse etc(Once we found it)

Thanks for that information Philb. I hope to attend next month and will mark that on my calender. I like to get back to going to shows as it's been awhile. The combination of no work or working out of town doesn't help with the budget or time.

Battlestamps no problem...i know they lost a few customers in the shuffle but George and Tom expect things to improve as the word gets out ..the dealers like the Elks because they can get a burger and a beer right there without sending out !
