What kind of motorcycle do you think the stamp is meant to show?
Scott #E13, issued in 1922, has the same motorcycle shown on it as your Scott #E15, issued in 1927.

I wonder if it was meant to be an Indian Scout?

The motorcycle on the stamp looks similar to this Indian Scout from 1929, but I don't see the shift arm on the left side.

Im thinking it was maybe one of these

1926 Cleaveland .

or one of the early Iver Johnson models from the mid teens to early twenties .

But there were alot of motorcycle companies in the early 1900's most did not survive the twenties .

Nice stamp, Rick. A nice photos.
Four pots, in line. First time I've seen that on a bike.

Saw eight pots a while ago. A hog with a 350 chev in it.
What a beast. I think it was called a Boss Hoss or something like that.

The boss is quite a machine ,,I rode one of them when they first hit the market ! surprisingly they are really pretty easy to ride .

I like the stamp above ,, it would be cool to still have that type of service from the USPS !
