Can anyone identify this Blood's Penny Post stamp?
It is not listed in Scott's Specialty 2011 or A-B vol. 1, 2010.
Thanks.

There's one Kochersperger stamp listed, #15L18; perhaps this is an essay for a subsequent stamp never issued, or, simply a fantasy design meant to defraud collectors.

This stamp is a George Hussey "reprint" of a genuine Bloods essay. Hussey claimed to have got these stamps from Kochersperger after the discontinuance of the post. The "genuine" essay is claimed to be obtain from Kochersperger while the post was in operation. In the "genuine" the background behind the face has cross hairs, in the "reprint" the background is solid. There are also a number of fakes of this essay.

Some of the early reprints in the right time period still have decent value. I have a bunch of locals done by "taylor" that are nice examples , Just have to be careful where and how you put them in an album so not to detract from any originals or have them mis labeled as originals.
