Hello everyone its been a little while since I have been on here but I had to make the time today to show you all these 2 beautys!
Found these 2 Old Indian Motorcycle lithograph postcards while going through my late grandfathers collectible items he left me
Can anyone tell me more about these cards? I think the 3 wheeler might be the first card they put out? Thank you so very much for any information

Very nice cards.
The bike in the top card is an earlier model Indian then the bike with the sidecar.
Looking at the forks and the fact they are both V twins I would date the cards at about 1909 for the top one and around 1916/1920 for the second card.
I could be wrong... and I am sure other will have better info on them.
Regards
Gavin
(PS I have a few early US motorcycle postal items I would sell so I can focus on my core collection)

I have no expertise in Indian Motorcycles (formerly known as "Motocycles") but I tend to agree with your idea that the top card is earlier. Furthermore, it has the reference to Hendee Mfg. Co., which was later changed to the Indian Motocycle Co. (as shown in the bottom card) in either 1923, 1925 or 1928 (depending on what resource you can depend on in looking for that reference on the internet).

Yes according to that web page yours looks like genuine period item rather than a reproduction.
They started making the v Twin in 1907... I found this image reproduced on a poster on the net and THEY dated it at 1909.

Yes I agree the earlier one in particular is a lovely item to have.

Gavin

The fact that the cards are divided backs puts their printing after May, 1907. Why does a URL appear on the bottom right of each card?

Doug a lot of folks will use my pictures for things and after all of the work I put into all this I don't want that,so those watermarks show it's owned by me and they will need permission to use my photos or I could come back and sue them if I were to find out..that's why Doug,,to have these people come in and just use it for somekind of advertising or god knows what I personally cant accept things like that, all this takes too much time for someone to just drop right in and use it for free to generate business or something..things..images like these make people stop and click, stop and look,ect..I don't know maybe I shouldn't have..but at the time I had issues going on so I started doing so

Nothing wrong with that point of view. But some reproductions of vintage postcards have a website inserted into the design for "protection," and they are easy to remove, but electronic watermarks are not.
