air post special delivery stamps

i had never really looked hard at my collection.
who ever had collected these stamps must of had a good eye for collecting.
i do like plate numbers.
again it is not always the value of the stamps that I like.

LONEDAN, those are neat! I collect airmail, but will have to take a look at some of those, too. Thanks for sharing.

Absolutely my favorite way to collect single. As a matter of fact every one of my singles from the past few years are plate numbers. Great looking stamp.

Very nice, dan. I collect U.S. Airs, and I love marginal markings.

Thanks for sharing.

Nice cover, not only does it have the sending cancels but a great little stamp mark showing recieved in Iowa. Today all you get is a X in the signature box.

Cool cover!

The United Stated Rubber Company was founded in
Naugatuck, Conn in 182.

It one one of the original 12 Stock in the Dow.
You will know it as Uniroyal after 1961. Though
it was later bought by Michelin in 1990.

Thanks mkfarm, for the background information on US Rubber Co! I like the cover even better now.
Some US stamps like this one are hard to find on cover but are still inexpensive when you do find them.
