I'm feeling mighty low..i had high bid of 53.06 on eBay on a nice accumulation of Swiss Military stamps and got zapped for 54.06 at the last minute.seems like somebody always wants them more than I do !

Londonbus...i have lusted after them since a little Swiss Gnome brought some of his lifetime collection to a meeting to show and tell..as with many items..its much more economical to buy them as a group than as individual stamps !! |

Jim, thanks for showing them..i did not know they existed until the Swiss fellow bought them in to show..he said his collection with the covers blocks and all the fancy froo froo is worth $30,000 and I do not doubt him...what a beautiful thing to see !! |

WetGlaswegian Oh yes...Switzerland has a defense force..every male between 18 and ????? is ready to be called up..of course all they would have to do is cut a mountain road or two..Napolean, Hitler etc. did not think it was worth the effort of fighting in the mountains... |

The Swiss "National Guard" forces are actually very well trained and highly capable. Phil is right, between their geography, trained forces and super good hot chocolate, the Swiss are well protected!
Besides, all those beautiful Swiss Misses give them something to fight for! |
