In the Scott U.S Specialized catalog, in the description of Officials satmps, just above the last paragraph about the Special Printings, there is a sentence that says: "Practially all officialstamps exist imperforate but little is known of their history" I have never seen any pairs or blocks in any exhibit, nor have I read of any , except the mention of Departmental imperforate specimens and imperforate Newpaper and Periodical specimens in W.V.Combs's booklet "U.S.Departmental Specimen Stamps" printed in the American Philatelist in October of 1964. I did however find these four copies in a lot of other stamps that I purchased off eBay.

What reference source are you referring to where the sentence is found? I do not have that in the introductory comments before Official Stamps in the 2014 Scott Specialized. Is it somewhere else in that catalogue? Also, you may find interesting reading in a post titled.."Possible Fakes?" posted 01/13/2014 about imperforated bank note stamps. I think you can access the post through the search function at the top of the page. |

In The Scott U.S. Specialized 1982 edition, 1945 edition and the 1934 edition, all three have the same sentence. |

Why do they not have 4 even margins??? Because they are each from a corner.... That is NOT proof.... PROOF is a pair!!
They at were time jumbo margins...that have been trimmed.

It is a "straddle pane" stamp. The sheet was miscut....that is what the arrow was used for...guide (guide arrow)

Trimmed or not, the effect is pretty cool-looking, especially on the 90-cent. |

Yeah, that 90 cent Interior is a monster even side by side with this tall copy! |

And yet the impression is the same size, the 'trimmed' copy just has huge margins. Even though I didn't get them set exactly even. Tough to do inside a mount! |

YES...the stamp on the left, the "trimmed" copy.... is from pos 90 on a sheet...thus the wider margins on the 2 sides. |
