Now you've done it. I am going to have to scan in some SUPER covers I have. I love pictorial postmarks and I think I have one for several of those stamps. Plus I use to read Spider-man, X-men, and Sub-Mariner.

Bandicoot, has a set of those superhero stamps, but he soaked them off the paper. Now they are all faded. A real pity.

WOW, they are absolutely FANTASTIC, in every sense

I used to read X-Men, Fantastic Four and Punisher. Fantastic Four were my favourites. Later I moved on to the more "violent" ones, with Spawn and Lobo.
I still have them somewhere on my parents' attic.

Need those stamps, though

I also read Batman, GI Joe, Witchblade, Green Lantern, The Flash, etc. I still have several full comic boxes taking up space. As for violent comics I was a big fan of James O'Barr's The Crow that the movie was based on.

In fact, I have some stamp comic books from the USPS: Bugs Bunny with a FDOI postmark and a set for the Celebrate the Century series. These were around the same time of the USPS Stampers Savers Cards Cool-lectibles from around 1996-2000. I use to collect the card and stamp packs.

I collected comics for years , not so popular independent stuff but the few popular comics such as Ghost Rider and Transformers I sold on Ebay month's before the Movie adaptations and I made quite a bit of $$$

Still have 1 big comic box and I'm really looking forward to the Watchmen.
I bought the USPS DC comic sheet for postal use and I do remember the USPS Marvel sheet coming out.

I was an extra on Dark Knight and after 6-7 takes of me and others as hospital patients getting on an evacuee bus , the take they used was the one where we had already boarded the bus such a let down after being so excited about possibly making a brief appearance.

Johnstamp,
I will dig them out to scan and post.

Jayelem,
Too bad about being cut, that would be a very cool experience. I also am wanting to see the Watchmen. I really like Frank Millar's stuff.

I've always wanted to go to the annual Metropolis Superman festival ,years ago I was in the drive-thru for a local hamburger joint chain called White Castle's and the car in front of me had the metropolis temporary superman plates on his car , I always thought that was cool .

Chester Illinois is home of Popeye the sailor man's creator , I remember a USPS Popeye comic strip stamp in the late 90's.
Here's a Popeye mural located in town.

Laswabbie needs to use the Popeye stamp as his avatar.

There are several subcontracted post office stations in all kinds of unusual places in the US. We have 1 here in a Meijers Store, a printing shop and a True Value hardware store that I know of.
