Hi Jser,
You catalog is on its way to you! I had just one Master Yoda stamp left - you will see it on the package along with some Lighthouse stamps. Remember to look on page 360 to find your "2008 Year of the Rat" mini-sheet. Enjoy!

Got it today, now I just have to learn how to use it

Also, a stupid question but should I save anything besides the stamps off the box?

Hi Jser,

You mean the large picture of Master Yoda from the mini-sheet!
Yes, save it if you like it, I probably would.

The catalogs are a bit intimidating at first.

In the US specialized catalog, at the front there is a very useful "Stamp Identifier" which lists the different catalog numbers for a single design. In the price listings that follow, the first number is the catalog number, and the second number is the design number, which corresponds to a picture above the listing. Then comes the denomination and color. The first price is for a very fine mint stamp and the second price is for a very fine used stamp.

Don't hesitate to ask any specific questions you may have.
JustABeginner is figuring out how to use his catalogs now too.

does the master yoda have any philatelic value, or is it just something you would keep for the coolness?
Because I really don't have anything to soak it off in.
