I always send post cards back home, when I travel. I enjoy sending them and friends and relatives always appreciate receiving them. Maybe it's a Canadian thing? I don't know. Ask Phil about the whack of post cards I posted out last time I was in New York.

So... do you send post cards?

David

Because I never travel, I don't. I only send cards when I'm somewhere special.
Once I went on a strike action to Berlin, and apart from my wife nobody knew that. So I sent postcards from Berlin to the whole family - they were a bit surprised

I always send postcard even if I only away for a couple of days and not very far if it's an interesting place. I just pick different people to send them to each time.

Some times we go on day run with the car club we belong to and if we stop somewhere that have post cards I pick them up. I always have stamps in my purse so I wright them up and ask the storekeeper to mail them for me.

My brother usually sends me a postcard when he travels. I received one from Eqypt just last month. I sent one to myself from the National Postal Museum in DC. I think that was the I mailed.

I do send postcards , especially when I remember to take my address book with me, I don't send myself any .
I do wish I traveled more though .

Just remembered , once I did stop in a town just for a postmark and I also sent an envelope addressed to myself , the town of MORO , Illinois.
It's not often that the town is named the same as your last name.

Nice to get a postmark of a town with your namesake, eh?

Did you find one with your first name?

Yeah, I send them when I'm somewhere on vacation. It's more of an "eat your hearts out" for the in-laws, though.

Hey, trust me, they have it coming.

That's a fun site Chequer.

I don't travel much, so I don't send postcards. On the other hand, I live in a beautiful place -- about 15 minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park -- the most visited NP in America. About 9 million visitors per year come to the park.

So, I could send some nice postcards from home

I both send and receive postcards but I don't collect them and have hundreds for sale....some quite old with stamps, many mint.
One day I'll post them but in the meantime, if anyone is interested just holler.........

Here are the latest two to have arrived [last week] courtesy of Mr GB Stamps.

The first is a bit scuffed but look at the stamp on the backside !
What can you see on that stamp ???????????

The second is not a slant on my character at all. I would never visit any of those pubs...tut,tut.

Another nice Flag stamp on the reverse [or backside]. But what's that ugly black thing next to it????????

Londonbus1.....Off for a beer, Oops !
