Tom:

I received three lovely United states postal stationery covers with perfect heart/cardiology-themed slogan cancels. One was postmarked on St. Valentine's Day. Thank-you.

Please e-mail me, off line, as I wish to post something out to you.

All three covers fit nicely into my collection.

Cheers!

David

Hey Tom

Got two packets from you today.

I love all the stamps but especially the mini sheets with jasmine and roses from India as well as the one from the Netherlands.

Must go tend to the garden

Hello Dianne.....

You're welcome....

I had an envelop all set to go for you and then realized you're not collecting covers......found the flowers and immediately knew who they should be long to.....both are scented I think.

Hi Tom,

Got the covers with the Pray For Peace postmarks. They're fantastic, and will look great in the collection of these I'm working on.

Thanks much!

Wpg.

Wpg:

Are you collecting "Pray For Peace" slogan cancels? My trading friend in Minot, ND sends me letters, and they have CURRENT 2009 "Pray For Peace" machine slogan cancels.

The next one I get I shall post out to you.

David

Sounds great, David. I didn't realize they were still using this slogen cancel in some places. I thought it had disappeared sometime around the end of the Vietnam War, as I don't recall seeing it on any stamps later than that.

Wpg:

I was very surprised to see a machine cancelled letter; let alone a Pray For Peace slogan cancel. Like you, I thought that slogan cancel was finished in the 1970's.

Tom: Ireland O/P's arrived yesterday..Thanks filled many blank
spaces.

Also, are you aware, that your mail goes to the Lincoln Ne. PO
to be canceled ?

The cover, depicting the Lincoln stamp, has a great Lincoln, NE
CDS cancel.

I will forward it to the Stamperdude, for his Lincoln collection

Hi Bob....

Glad to hear you received and able to use some of the OP's....

Not everything goes through Lincoln.....it depends on where we mail things from.......nice to get a decent cancel once in awhile.....most everything that goes through Lincoln gets through in decent condition.

And, thanks for the nice little Morocco cover.
