A promise is a promise...In the spirit of friendship and camarederie, I won't participate in the trivia question today but will just do so next time...If I do participate in this game later, it will just be for fun and please exclude me from winning the prize..good luck fellows |

Ok! you'll like this I think. does everyone over 30 know the movie or play, "Arsenic And Old Lace"? One of the characters was a man that thought he was Teddy Roosevelt. every one in awhile in come running out of room, blow on a trumpet and yell "CHARGE". And there were times he went to the basement. Q is : where did he think he was going when he went to the basement? (BTW: I played this part in the early '80's. on stage, well, it's a long story.) Ah! this is too easy! there is really only one absolutely correct answer. If vyou're under 30, there's google. Go. |

The brother digs locks for the Panama Canal in the cellar of the Brewster home (which then serve as graves for the aunts' victims) |

That's Ms. Bird, if you don't mind! Before I email you my address, though, we should probably get a ruling on whether this violates the rule against no buying/selling/trading before I've made 50 posts. I wasn't thinking about that when I answered the trivia question. Oops. If It does, the prize can go to Bob (but only if he promises to stop that tantrum! |

I dont think the rule applies to contests [ if it did, you would not be able to post to the thread ].. Mrs Bird won it fair and square |

Congratulations Ms. Bird , good job answering ........
I think I was running errands at about 1pm , took the dog with since we hit a balmy 65 degrees and then a nice walk on a local trail.
Todays question was actually one of the few times I could answer it without a reference , great movie , one of my teachers had our class view it back in gradeschool and the one of the few things I remember was that he was digging a trench in the basement which he thought was the Panama canal. |

Ms. Chicken, you are neither buying, selling or trading, so the rule does not apply. You are the winner, Chook. Steve |

Am terribly sorry, Ms. Chicken. had my mind on a sniper that I used to spar with on eBay. He (well,I'm not sure now), anyway the name was chicken fried steak. I don't imagine that is you. It was at the very least 5 years ago. BTW, I checked all the rules and I couldn't see anything illegal. Most likely Bobby would have zapped it by now, anyway. Let me first give my credentials. I am a member of APS #213869. They take 90 days to approve a member. Have a store on Stampwants and approaching 1000 feedback at 100%. On eBay w/ 290 feedback at 100%, on Stampoffers with several 100 feedback at 100% and on stamphead at 62 feedback w/100%. Several others here have known my wife and I from stampoffers for over a year and a half. Just hoping to reassure you I'm not some kind of psycho. (although some may beg to differ). perhaps if you would have called yourself "spring chicken" I might not have made the gender mistake. |

So it's official, I'm a winner! Stampaholic, Since I'm in my 40s, I don't think I qualify as a "spring chicken" anymore. P.S. Looks like I'm not able to access forum email. Am I supposed to have more posts before I'm allowed to do that, or am I doing something wrong? |
