Check back around 1 or 2. have to get my armor on and my sword and do battle with the state bureauocrats. am afraid I will have many paper cuts even with armor. BTW; good Q today but probably still too easy. ought to do my Scott catalog quiz. Nah, will save that for something special. |

All! Right! Today's Trivia Quiz. On the agenda today is a great war picture. This was, I think, about, the 3rd movie I ever saw at the inside movie theatre. and being the prize is a war cover I thought it appropriate. Now, it can be googled in about 5 seconds but I don't think they have answer to the Q. The movie, "Imitation General" starring Glenn Ford (great actor) and Red Buttons and a really young Dean Jones. Anyway, the main character, Glenn Ford, disables two army tanks literally without a weapon. The Question is, How does he do it? BTW; I understand there's several war buffs in this crowd. So probably gonna be some rivalry. So, Good Luck. Go.

I thought there might be a line. Sorry, had to fight with bureaucrats. talk about a war. they all should be shot, well no, not shot, I guess. just fired. I say, close down all the da*n gov't agencies. That would save our tax money. |

Actually, I think that was the 3rd and /or 4th tanks. In my google search, It was Dean joes that gave him an idea for the 1st two. |

OOH OOH..I got the answer..
the Germans were advancing and the real general in command there gets killed.Dean Jones comes to report and thinks Glenn Ford is the general. Dean Jones was sent to get orders on what to do and he tells them these tanks are coming. Glenn Ford sees the helmet in Dean Jones hand and the fact that his is muddy. He gets an idea on how to get the tanks. He takes a helmet fills it with mud then hides till a tank comes along, takes the mud and throws in the view ports of the tank so they can't see. the tank stops, a German pops out of the top and Glenn throws a grenade into the tank. |

I dont know the answer but bob's answer makes sense....I just thought the tank's threads are made of metal??? The only military vehicle similar to the tank that has rubber wheels are Armored PErsonnel Carriers (APCs) right? |
