As I promised last night, found the $5.00 Official at the bottom of the box of Official Stamps I got for free when I was a Federal Civil Service manager.

Don't know how many of these Official Stamps are out there, must be millions, so expect this isn't of any importance at all. Perhaps not even important enough to keep this box.

Cheers

Dave

Nice! With meter, too. Actually, the postally used $5 official stamp (2015 used catalog $20) is worth more than the mint. Is that already cut from the envelope? If you have the entire cover, it is worth even more. On entire cover examples of the high denomination officials are in demand.

khj, this was from a very heavy box.

Of all the Official Mail stamps I have, the $5.00 stamps always came on a box.

Thanks for your important information.

Cheers

Dave
