I had a great experience with an ebay seller last week. I've been buying a lot of stamps on ebay, trying to build my collection up a bit, and because of that, I accidentally left feedback on the wrong seller. The seller I left the feedback for hadn't shipped my stamps yet, and I didn't even realize I screwed up until he messaged me and let me know. Now, he could have kept the stamps I had bought and I would have never known, because I thought he had already sent them, and I had put the stamps in my albums already,(threw away the packaging and everything),and I would have been none the wiser. But that's not what was so great about this seller, although, that was very honest of him and by itself commendable.
After his email, we messaged back and forth a few times, nice communications. In the course of those emails, I told him I was a new collector and when I got my stuff from him, he had sent me a bunch of free stuff in addition to his "bonus" stamps he had sent with my order! I also got a very nice letter from him about stamp collecting. He really went the extra mile!
I got over 200 stamps from him, all of them nice, big, pretty stamps in excellent shape, plus all the help, tips, etc. all for around $2. This is the best lot of stamps I have got from ebay yet, most of the stamps were more than .50 CV, and I didn't have most of them either. Thats the best $2 I ever spent!
He also sent me a note with what he has for sale. He has several lots for great prices,so if you are a newbie like me, this is a great guy to go to! His ebay id is
http://myworld.ebay.com/sproung77/. He doesn't have a lot on ebay now, but if you would like his email address to see the lots he has that aren't listed, email me and I will forward it to you.
