This morning I uploaded images into several different threads. The file names probably were the same, and it ended up replacing the images in my previous threads. Is this how it works? You must use unique file names when uploading or it will replace your previous images in other threads? if so, perhaps a warning dialog box would be good. Since I deleted the original uploads, I will now have to go back rescan, upload again, to ix the now broken images. Grrr.

Oh, I see what it is doing...
It generates a file name/path using todays date. So you can upload the same file names as long as it is not the same day!! LOL

If SCF wanted to keep the original file name it ought to either;
A.) warn you
B.) use date/time stamp in path to ensure that files aren't over written

So be warned if uploading images using this utility, use unique names if you don't want to break threads or waste time.

Thanks for the PSA.

Don: You don't assign unique names to your scans? I figure that, as long as I am doing the scanning & trimming & posting, I might as well assign a useful (searchable) name to the scans as, should the need arise, I can always find a scan faster than I can find a physical object. Cheers,

I'm always having trouble uploading files. But that's because I don't know what I'm doing. Sometimes I spend hours trying to upload. But I'm always successful in the end!
