I found this and another similar at my dad's house. It has an Eatons label on the back. His grandfather was an avid collector so I'm thinking this came from him. I have no idea what it is, if it's valuable or its history. Can anyone help?

I guess "Eatons" refers to the paper products company. Is there any title or writing to give a hint as to the musical celebration?

There's nothing at all. The label on the back just indicates it Eatons Fine Letter Papers. They look like postcards.the other is larger and appears to be an East Indian scene.

This is the other piece, it's a bit larger.

I would guess that these cards were your dad's notecards for family, friends, and associates, to be sent on special occasions...congratulations, etc.

The scenes on the 2 cards look to be non-specific, from a historical and cultural standpoint. Eatons surely communicated what they wanted to the artist/designer, so that the cards would be useful to a wider slice of the public.

They appear to be laminated by Eatons for display and have an Eatons label on the back of the board with hangers. I did notice after posting these that they are signed and dated, one in 1945, the other in 1932. I'll keep searching.
