What/ where is a good site or book to view sheets and get basic values of them. Thank you.

I don't have a site but I did just sell a couple hundred mint sheets to a dealer - US from around 1998-2010. He offered 50% of face cash or 60% as store credit. I might have gotten more selling them separately but wasn't willing to invest the time.

A site would be Ebay or Delcampe. You'd have to be following the sales to get an idea - very time consuming. Another way would be Geosafe's way - 50 to 60% for modern would be the norm. Older stamps would of course be more valuable.

Thanks geosafe and Petert4522. Not many dealers where I'm at. Louisville would be the closest at 4 1/2 hours away at least. Most are axis of evil as they have been call. Some fort Dearborn air mails and others. I'll check out ebay. Thanks again.

Get a MYSTIC catalog for free. They are way overpriced but it will give you a start. You can take 1/3-1/2 off as a general rule. Also, once you determine the Scott number, go to EBay and look them up under sold listings"

Thanks jkelly01938. I didn't know that Mystic listed sheets. I do see that Brookmans has them listed. To me they seem a little inflated. |

As with any buy/sell business, the buy price is significantly less than the sell price. |

Thanks angore. That's always the nature of the beast so to speak in a business. People have to make a profit or its not worth the time. If I do decide to sell I know there is no full price unless a rare item that everyone wants. As I read posts here which I love reading and learning I see prices about 30% of cv. I'm fine with that. And yes condition plays a high part in that as well.

The good news is that these days with sites like ebay you can sometimes get more if you are very patient. You can watch the sheets section and see what is selling and not selling. If you look at the collections/sheets categories there is a lot for sale with prices all over the place especially with the fixed price sales. |

With so many new issues each year not many people can afford to collect full sheets anymore. |
