I have some postcards with stamps. I found a couple that I am not sure about..

Ben Franklin 1 cent postmarked 1908 - It appears to cut different.. the bottom is cut off and the top has extra space.

Ben Franklin "one cent" . is spelled out and not a 1 cent.. and the bottom has no perforations

Any Help is appreciated..
Thank you

Hi Ghostz, and a very welcome to the forum! They are both fairly normal and common stamps. The first one is just mis-perforated a bit, and the second one is either from the edge of the sheet or from a booklet pane. The 'one cent' spelled out is normal for some stamps in this series -both the 1 cent and the 2 cent can come this way.

Peter

The top one is just a bad perforating job which is common. The 2nd stamp has straight edges from where the sheet of 400 stamps was cut into 4 panes of 100 stamps.
