Top stamp quite off center. Second stamp faulty as the perforations are cut off.

Fun stamps to collect as a hobby. Keep showing and asking. We love scans/pictures of stamps. Enjoy!

12 cent looks like has a grill upper right Washington head?? E or F???
30 cent banknote always challenge to identify Scott number although some on this forum good at telling paper type without holding up to light or feeling it. Full black, black, gray always tough for me.

Curious what the Scott numbers are?

A word of friendly advice...
If you are going to buy early US singles I would recommend avoiding random eBay sellers. Spend as much time seeking out and doing discovery on the sellers as you do on the stamps themselves. Until you get more experience, work with known quality sellers like Clark Frazier or Ken Srail. Ask the folks on this forum who they deal with...

But looking for the 'best' eBay deals on early US singles without a lot of experience is a sure way to get burned and/or build a low quality collection with little value.

Don is giving you some excellent advice. For example, on the #298, the guide line showing on some of the left side perfs and especially the fact that it is NG take the value way down. I am speaking from painful experience; for U.S. classics, selectively buy the best you can afford so you are not continually upgrading. As a wise person once told me, "slow down, you don't have to get all of them at once".

There are also a couple of short perfs that take down the value. You are buying low quality low value stamps, and no, just because you get a stamp graded it does not at all necessarily enhance the value.
