The 'Double and Triple Transfer' thread inspired me to spend time real close up with my 3 cent collection. I only do a couple of pages per night. Otherwise I end up looking like Popeye the one eyed sailor.
Anyway, it was the first time taking a close look at this strip of three.
Turns out the left stamp has recut #30, "Line Ties Top of Upper Label & Upper Right Diamond Block & extends to Frame Line."
The frame line characteristics are Plate 4.
The large margin on the right means this has to be position rows 8, 9 and 10 of the right pane.
So the left side stamp of my strip showing the recut, has to be Plate 4, right pane and row 8. Simple!
Recut #30 only shows up in ten positions of all the plates.
Wouldn't you know...two of the ten are plate 4, right paneand row 8. 28R4 and 68R4...it can never be simple LOL.
In the end, it's the trusty guide dot on the center stamp, that allows me to plate this strip as 28-30R4.
A bonus, the Stamp Smarter site needed an image of 30R4.
