Are you buying or selling? If you are buying do so with an assurance of refund if it is not certified as legit and get a cert. If selling, get a cert. before you sell so buyers can have a level of assurance it is as advertised.
Hard to tell from the pictures but a very nicely centered stamp for that issue if the perfs are original. Can't say about the gum. |

Could be near worthless to worth hundreds but without a flatbed scan many questions remain. The three perfs on bottom at the left are totally out of alignment with the rest. If that's true when laid flat that's a big cut in value. The picture of the back is not detailed enough to see the gum at the edges. Highly suspect but inconclusive from these pictures. Some unevenness in the gum might be hiding thins. Worst case this is regummed over thins and reperfed - not to mention the forgery potential a previous poster mentioned. All of those might be false but without a flat hi-res scan I can't tell for sure. |

There isnt any definition due to the very poor quality of the picture. I tried to get some definition in the pic but wasn't able. |

I purchased this stamp from an Ebay dealer in New Jersey. Its been eight months so I have no recoarse if there is an issue. I have compared it with several other known authenticated specimens and they look identical. So I feel that should submit it for certification. |

My gut reaction is that it does not have original gum as the gum is too white and the stamp may well be completely rebacked to add margins, but that is pure speculation and should not be taken as the final word. No one can give you a worthwhile opinion without seeing the stamp in person. For a certificate you have several choices including The Philatelic Foundation (NY), APEX (requires you to be an APS member) and PSE (CA). Good Luck |

Post that high res scan. There is a very good chance the stamp has multiple problems. If that is the case, paying for a cert will just be a case of throwing more good money after bad. |

Posting a picture of the stamp being held up to light might be helpful too. |

Flint, does that NJ dealer have an address in Englewood Cliffs by any chance? |

I suspect that it is a proof with added perforations and gum. And if the dealer in NJ has a name that starts with an A, then it becomes even more likely. |
