Carol, I really like that one. My most recent purchase netted me a full unused sheet of that one. If I get a few free min, I'll post it. |

Ok, sometimes you just have to make time. Here's one of my new sheets. Darn scanner table isn't quite big enough though. Devlin |

Once again, I really REALLY like going through old collections. Here's another bridge I found. (I hate it when I loose my bridge!) Devlin |

That Century of Friendship is funny in a few ways. The province of Canada was not established until 1841 which contained the lower halves of the newly combined Quebec & Ontario, both formally know as Lower & Upper Canada. The Dominion of Canada did not come about until 1867. The Oregon Territory or the British name, the District of Columbia was administered jointly between the United States & the United Kingdom from 1818 until 1846 when it was divided along the 49th parallel with the entire Vancouver Island going the British. This region ran from the northern border of California to Russian Alaska. The land between the former Oregon Territory & Upper Canada was Rupert's Land principally run & administered by the Hudson Bay Co. In 1848 all border issues were settled with the United Kingdom, not Canada.
Peaceful? During the Civil War the Confederacy conducted raids into New England from Lower Canada. There were minor border crossing issues during the Metis Rebellion of 1869-70. So basically they were about 22 years early on that issue.

Funny, Ha ha. It's not that old, it's from the 1960's, about the time you were born. Steve |

It's not a stamp, but here's a beautiful bridge in Bad Kreuznach, Germany where I lived when I was in middle school. |
